Our History

The Pathway International Church of God was officially affiliated with the Churches of God Denomination on July 10, 1988, after a three-day revival with Dennis McGuire, former Texas Overseer, who now serves as the General Overseer for the Churches of God in Cleveland, Tennessee.  The church began with 67 charter members.  Reverend Othoe Stegall of Paris was appointed as the first pastor.

Reverend Steve Bohannon became the second pastor after Reverend Stegall's retirement and he served from February 1991 until March 1992.  In March 1992, Reverend and Mrs. Ray Evers was appointed as the pastors and served until June 1, 2007.  Under the leadership of Reverend Ray Evers, the church purchased property and moved to the present location where we built our new facilities.

On August 5, 2007, Reverend Mark & Branda Anisworth accepted the pastorate of the Pathway International Church of God.  They left the church in December 2009.  In January 2010, Reverend Samuel and Candace Evers were appointed as pastors.  They continue to serve in that capacity today.
